About the Item
Circa 1800-1807
France
French printed cotton summer man's waistcoat with high waist and high collar dating from the Napoleonic french Premier Empire period. Printed on cotton using a copper plate or roller, with miniature blue semis. Complete with chased brass buttons and unbleached cotton lining. Original unbleached cotton back. Clean waistcoat with no stains or holes. Very good colour and condition.
Dimensions: Equivalent to French men's size 48-50. Waist 90 cm, chest 98 cm, shoulders 30 cm, height 43 cm.
