C.1980 Adolfo For Saks Fifth Avenue Plaid Boucle Skirt Suit

About the Item

Ladylike and refined are characteristics of Adolfo clothing from the 1970s-1980s. This raspberry red and olive green plaid boucle skirt suit fits that description with the added whimsical bonus of pouf pleated pockets at the hip line of the jacket. There is a Chanel inspiration to the look and construction of the suit including the nubby texture of the fabric, classic details and jewelry style gold tone buttons at the front and cuffs. The skirt buttons and zips at the side in a coordinating boucle. Both pieces are fully lined with a fun and surprising floral lining in the jacket that begs to be shown. Originally retailed at Saks Fifth Avenue ... very good condition with a little wear to the gold tone buttons. The skirt has been professionally altered to enlarge the waistband which is difficult to see on the exterior though can be seen on interior of the waistband. SIZING & MEASUREMENTS The size is unmarked though it best fits a U.S. size 4 and due to the alteration at the waist of the skirt might also work for a size 6.
