Wedding season is here and this early 60s Nina Ricci haute couture set is an elegant option for the ceremony. Made from refined satin silk printed with contrasting off-white polka dots on black background, both dress and coat finish just under the knees. The sleeveless dress features a fitted bodice and nips in at the waist. The gently pleated full skirt adds a touch of volume to the silhouette through two panels (front and back) which cover and open slightly on the skirt (see picture 17). Coordinating sash to cinch the waist. The dress closes with a concealed zip, hook and eye at the center back. Cut in a slight slim-fitting silhouette, the matching coat features lightly padded shoulders, shirt collar and rolled cuffs. No fastening. The back of the coat is crossed by a wide half-belt (martingale), while tree slits up the seams at the hem open on the skirt of the dress. Sculptural gold accessories would be a win with this outfit.
