19th Century Chinese Cloisonné Salt and Pepper Pot with Dragon Decoration, Qing

About the Item

These are a well made very decorative small cloisonné salt and pepper pot, made in China and dating to the mid-19th century. Both pieces are matching and well made from a brass / bronze metal alloy. The pot has a good vase shape on a low foot with a brass/bronze screw top and the salt has tripod legs. They have been hand made and decorated with rich enamels of different colors with the decorative feature of a blue dragon winding round the shoulder of both pieces, with a wave border in green and white enamels on the pepper pot.. Overall, two small but very decorative mid-19th century antique pieces off Chinese cloisonné, for use or display.
