19th Century Chinese Quatrefoil Rose Mandarin Footed Fruit Bowl*, Circa 1850 China, circa 1850s * Reference Chinese Export Porcelain, Standard patterns and forms 1780-1880 Herbert & Nancy Schiffer see Page 93, Image #252 for similar documented example. A rare form, a raised fruit bowl, or serving platter, this example is a large size work. It's an exceptional example decorated in vibrant enameled colors. Painted with a typical vignette of an interior court scene with numerous figures with gold tracing in their hair. Completed with a continuous border of birds, flowers, butterflies and insects. Raised on a conforming pedestal base, painted with scattered chrysanthemums. Unmarked. Overall Measurements 3 -Inches high x 12 inches wide x 10-Inches deep The base measures 7.75inches wide x 5.75-Inches deep
