19th Century Japanese Porcelain Plate with Blue and White Bird and Bamboo Motifs

About the Item

A Japanese hand-painted porcelain plate from the 19th century, with blue and white birds, foliage and bamboo décor. Created in Japan during the 19th century, this porcelain plate features a delicate blue and white décor depicting birds flying around a delicate blooming tree. A bamboo frames the right side of the composition while the border is adorned with meander motifs. Showcasing a scalloped edge, this 19th century Japanese hand-painted porcelain plate will make for a lovely addition to any home décor, perhaps placed on a commode, side table or console!
