Antique Chinese hand made mud man figurine, finely crafted and hand painted, of a standing elderly scholar dressed in a blue robe, holding a large lobed gourd in the palm of one hand while carrying a filled fish basket in the other. The figure holds a wandering glaze with a slightly crooked smile, as if immersed in the simple pleasures of peasant life
