A Kakiemon jar with handles
Edo period (late 17th century)
The Jar or pot is of great and delicate shape and decorated in iron-red, blue, green and yellow enamels with different kind of flowers, rocks, clouds and karakusa.
With matching box.
Truly a musuem piece.
Condition
Overall Condition; There is a line running to the neck of the pot, with repainting also. Either it is restored and put back on or just to cover the line. 1 of the handle also with tension line. Small frit/chip to base rim. Spot with glaze missing inside and some dirt spots. . Size; 143mmx125mm Height x widest Diameter”
