About the Item
A matched pair of Chinese Famille Rose Jingdezhen vases. One with enamelled decoration in pink and green, depicting a peacock on rockery and peony branch.
The other in the same palette depicting a mountain landscape, possibly near Jingdezhen.
The reverse of both vases inscribed with calligraphy and the bases stamped with a Jingdezhen Zhi mark.
Please Note: Peacock vase; 30cm high. Landscape vase; 30.7cm high.

- 1970s Carn Studio Pottery VaseBy Carn PotteryLocated in London, GBA 1970s studio pottery vase by Carn, Cornwall. Rare hand built, facetted wood-cut mould design. With raised tubeline decoration and moss coloured highlight glaze to three sides, and blue glaze to the back. We have two of these vases as illustrated. This listing is for one vase but the second vase is available to buy separately in or other listings. The one you see here is on the left hand side in the photo of the pair. Carn is the only surviving pottery out of the iconic 1960’s and 1970’s Trio of Cornish potteries – Carn, Tremaen and Tremar. The Pottery was established in an old chapel by John Beusmans in 1971 in the village of Nancledra near St. Ives in Cornwall. John studied at Redruth Art College with his parents encouragement.
