The set of plates are made in the early 20th century of republic period. Around 1940s-1960s. Hence the made in china behind the plates. If it said just china it would be made around 1910-1930s. Chicken plates and cups are huge part of Chinese history as they are part of the Chinese animal calendar. For instance one chicken cup of the Chenghua era sold for more 30 million usd! There is absolutely no limit to the love of Chinese porcelain.
