Three Chinese Olive and Brown Glazed Storage Jars, Late 19th Century
About the Item
Three Chinese stoneware storage jars with olive brown glazes, Southeast China, late 19th century.
Each of ovoid form with large mouth openings. The tallest (13") subtly decorated with large leaves of grass in three reserves. The mid-sized (12.5") also with three reserves of decoration: one with a large bird, the second with a leafy fern or palm, the last with lotus. The shortest (12") of the three the most boldly decorated magpies and leaves of grass.
