Early 20th Century Sloping-Stile Wood-Hinged Cabinet

About the Item

A deep red sloping-stile cabinet from Zhejiang province, China. Both legs are adorned with a single "incense stick" beading in the middle. The slim horizontal panel below the doors marks the position of a hidden storage compartment inside. Elmwood framework with Fir wood floating panels, internal shelves and back. Original color and patina finished with a clear semi-matte lacquer.
