Set of 10 Japanese Lacquer Trays, Meiji 36, Circa 1903

About the Item

The set of 10 Japanese lacquer trays was made in Japan in the year of Meiji 36. It's 1903 and almost 120 years old. There is the only one that got opened for displaying and the rest of the 9 trays are still wrapped by the Japanese newspaper and rice paper with the stamps. The original box still exists and is included with these trays. The box is too old to be in the same condition and some glue was applied to tie the box to tie the wood panels together. Overall the box is still in good condition and possesses a significant historical value. The Tray masured - H:1 1/4 in(3.1cm) W:13 3/4 in(34.9cm) X 8.5 in(21.5cm) The Box measured - 15 in x 14.5 in x 10 in.
