We are delighted to offer for sale this extremely well made and highly collectable Chinese Export circa 1940’s Hardstone room divider folding screen. A truly stunning and exquisitely made piece, I’ve not seen one with this lighter colour finish before, usually they are black, it really makes a change and brings a lot more light and presents to the piece. It’s finished with gold to the base which again gives it that Emperors palace charisma. The main figures are all hand carved from hardstone which has been expertly chosen based on the colour and size, this truly is the nicest example I have come across and worthy of any home Condition we have deep cleaned, hand condition waxed and hand polished it from top to bottom, it will have some age and use related patina marks here and there as you would expect. This item is available for collection from our Pulborough warehouses. Condition Please view the very detailed pictures as they form part of the description pertaining to the condition. Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of creasing and wear, we recommend annual waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
