Japanese Woodblock Print of Edo Geisha Woman With Yellow Hairpins and Opium Pipe
About the Item
A beautifully composed and subtly colored Japanese woodblock print featuring a kimono-clad young woman, likely Geisha, adjusting her multitude of yellow hairpins (which match with the background) with an opium pipe in hand.
This is likely a later printing of an original work done in the 17th-18th century.
From an impressive collection of Japanese artworks and prints (of which we will be listing other prints).
Would be a great addition to any Japanese art or print collection or an eye-catching stand-alone accent piece once framed.
