Chinese Carved Lapis Lazuli Duck and Lotus Flower Figure

About the Item

A well carved Chinese Lapis Lazuli figure of a duck with a Lotus flower probably dating from the latter 19th or early 20th century. The figure is hand carved and well detailed with the duck in a crouched (possibly swimming) position and holding a Lotus flower stem with a large leaf in its beak. The duck and flower have carved detail and features and combines the deep blue with the grey elements of the stone. The duck is not signed however has an old collectors paper label attached to the base. In good condition with wear associated with age and use.
