This is an object called 'Shigaraki Tanuki' which was made around 1960s. It was made in a town called Shigaraki in Shiga prefecture in Japan. It is made with porcelain. Tanuki is a Japanese racoon and it has 8 fortunes meanings. 1)The Hat: The big hat protects you from disasters.
