Here is an Antique French Napoleon III Greyhound Fireplace Chenet set. This very beautiful and old extendable fireplace bar with its 19th century cast iron log holder features two greyhounds. Each dog is lying on a base decorated with a rockery. Very fine sculpture. Each greyhound is different, one has crossed legs, and the other has one leg extended. Napoleon III period, 19th century. In very good condition with traces of time and patina as seen in the pictures. One hook connecting the main piece to the log support is missing as seen in the last picture. Still stands properly and sits securely. A wonderful and useful decoration for your fireplace.
