French 19th Century Gothic Revival Hand Carved, Lacquered, Parcel Giltwood Spire

About the Item

An impressively large and well detailed French late 19th century architectural model of a Gothic inspired transept-spire or church pinnacle. This Neo Gothic decorative finial is hand caved, lacquered in a wonderful shade of gray-blue tone and parcel gilt. Columns, arches and transepts are perfectly distributed on the octagonal base entirely and richly finished with foliate motifs decoration and floral patterns. A big wonderfully carved fleur de lis (lily flower) stands out on top of the spire. This model still displaying most of its original paint, an authentic, highly decorative piece of sculpture art. Richly hand carved and painted, present splendidly, with nicely aged original patina over the whole. Full of charming antique character, warm and historical depth. This architectural Steeple is a one of a kind decorative object. It is great for using as decorative accent, or even placing atop an existing piece of furniture to create a magical transformation!     This beautiful French late 19th century chest of drawers in black ebonized wood and cherrywood reproduces with perfect proportions in scale a miniature cabinet with three drawers and an upper flap door that opens to reveal a white marble top and an oval mirror inside, nice hand carved band on top with geometrical pattern and molded base.
