South Asian Architectural Element with Wall Mirror
About the Item
A fabulous carved wooden architectural element, perhaps a door, wall panel, or window frame, with a mirror plate added to the opening at a later date. Hints of original blue/green paint remain. Probably South Asian in origin, dating to the early 20th century in good overall condition, with overall fade, edge losses, paint losses, shrinkage cracks, and wear commensurate with age and use. Dimensions: 57 in H x 44.5 in W x 4 in D. The mirror opening measures approximately 28 in H x 23 in W.
