About the Item
Magnificent set of two Baroque French Valances (Pelmets in UK) represents an era of Louis XV palaces accessories. Hand carved and gold gilded these two Pelmets have a unique and most royal look. Usually, Pelmets supposed to hung over windows where curtains and drapes have been installed to better frame the window. Valances history started in Renaissance period and often were associated with class. They are a perfect way to decorate a grand room in any stately home and castles where the attention has to be drawn to the heights of the celling in the room. Interior of these two Pelmets has been modified by a tracking system/ready for curtains to be hang. This set is an outstanding addition to your estate décor.
