The mashing mesh series is the latest design collection by celebrated Chinese designer Zhoujie Zhang in 2016. The series starts with Zhoujie's obsession with parametric design and mesh grids. He simulates the waves of the water using his programs, which is able to generate limitless design results. He describes that the design is just like the waters in nature, you will never know what the outcome will be.

Artist statement My work as an artist has been focused primarily on large-scale kinetic pieces that explore my unyielding fascination with simple machine principles, movement, and the beauty and physics of a large mass in motion.
