French Louis XVI Style Bronze Fireplace Set by Charles Casier, Late 19th Century

About the Item

These impressive French Louis XVI style bronze andirons with their original fender date to the second half of the 1800s and are made by the famous French Bronzier Charles Casier. Richly ornate with ram heads, bows, drapes, foliate accents, urn, and flame finials. All parts of the set are numbered and the maker's stamp: "CH. CASIER" and the stamp "...marque déposée PARIS" is visible on the back. "Marque déposée" means trademark, an officially registered mark or name belonging to a particular company, and not to be used by anyone else, that is put on all goods made by the company /Dictionary Cambridge/. This beautiful set has an adjustable width from 80 cm / 31.5 in to 114 cm / 44.88 in, height is 34 cm / 13.38 in, depth 41 cm / 16.14 in.
