A very fine original set of early english victorian polished steel and brass fireplace fire tools of outstanding workmanship and quality. Mid Nineteenth Century. Circa 1860 Comprising a poker, tongs and finely pierced flair tipped shovel all with stylish circular steel shafts with applied ring turned brass detailing, all pieces mounted with a brass circular and ring turned ornate handle with plain finial Condition: Superb condition for such early pieces with no restoration anywhere, steel and brass professionally polished, original copper rivets on shovel.     An exceptionally fine quality example of a Lady’s or Gentleman’s English Regency Period polished brass mounted Flame Mahogany Inlaid Boulle Style Jewellery or Trinket Casket or Table Box made during the first quarter of the Nineteenth Century, of English origin.  The rectangular form with hinged lid opening to reveal a later burgundy coloured woven fabric which is superbly done. Central cartouche on lid with initials possibly RLH.  This exquisite casket is raised on four generous beaded bun supports.  Condition: Good condition with nice patination, no losses to brass inlays.
