Antique Black Kilkenny and Connemara Marble Gothic Revival Fireplace Mantel

About the Item

A large and imposing Gothic Revival fireplace in Irish black Kilkenny fossil marble with green Connemara marble columns. A plain frieze with simple tapered moulding, flanked by semi hexagonal corner blocks which are supported by fully disengaged columns with moulded soccles stood on edged foot blocks. A quality piece mid to late 19th century. Opening Measures: 101cm W, 98cm H.
