Large 19th Century French Carrara Marble Mantel
About the Item
This superb large 19th century French Carrara marble mantel was reclaimed from a property in Baker Street, London UK. It is beautifully crafted in the Louis XV/XIV style and features large, out-turned scrolls to the jambs and smart raised and fielded panels across the frieze and corner blocks. Large in scale and proportion, this antique marble chimneypiece has a generous 72.5cm (28.54 in) depth. If desired, the depth could be reduced by up to approximately 30 cm (11.81 in) for a streamline look in a smaller setting. With its superb form and elegant French beauty, this white Carrara marble fireplace is certainly an impressive surround for any period townhouse or French style property.
