Large Victorian Oak Fire Mantel with Carved Jambs

About the Item

A handsomely crafted Victorian oak and hardwood fire mantel circa 1890. This large scale antique fire surround is brilliantly ornate, the jambs carved into elaborate columns below floral roundels to the end blocks and carved panels depicting fruits and foliage to the frieze. A waxed finish enhances the oaks natural rich tone, making a beautiful feature of any chimneybreast. Opening height: 92 cm (36.22 in) Opening width: 111 cm (43.70 in) Base width (outer foot block to outer foot block): 159 cm (62.59 in)
