Mid-19th Century Polished Steel Fire Grate in the Georgian Style
About the Item
A good quality mid-19th century Georgian style steel fire grate. The fluted fret with cut oval paterae, tapering cylindrical legs with acanthus leaf detailing, urn finials, the side panels engraved with swags and paterae. The shaped cast iron backplate with classical pastoral scene, mid-19th century.
