Scottish 19th Century Victorian Carron Cast Iron Arched Insert

About the Item

An unusually large mid-19th century Victorian cast iron arched insert from Carron of Falkirk. A generous outer plate with a border cartouche, splayed side returns with mounting points for the curved three barred fire front, the original fire grate with side supports ready to receive your choice of custom fire bricks. Stamp to the reverse dates this to 1867. Carron, Falkirk. Scotland, 1867.
