Simple Period Limestone Fireplace Surround

About the Item

A simple period limestone fireplace surround. Consisting of a lintel and two supporting jambs, all resting on plain foot blocks. This type of fireplace has been in use since fireplaces were first installed, they are sometimes called post & beam surrounds due to their simple construction method, they were often fashioned in stone to provide a supporting structure around the fire opening in a wall. The hearth is for photographic purposes, and is not included. Fire opening size: 900mm high x 760mm wide Each foot block height: 160mm Jamb width: 180mm
