About the Item
A fine quality 19th century, circa 1830 French Louis XVI fireplace in veined Statuario marble. The frieze carved with flutes, exquisitely carved to the centre with fruit, flowers and ribbons. The acanthus leaf jambs with rope moulding below, surmounted by swirling paterae. Breakfront shaped shelf.
