Galgo" planter pedestal. Based on models by Pierre Jules Mêne (1810-1879).
On a circular base stands a polygonal pedestal decorated with plant motifs. Above, the sculpture of the greyhound is sitting, sitting on its hind legs and staring straight ahead. The work is based on models by Pierre-Jules Mêne, considered the pioneer of animal sculpture in the 19th century, specialized in small-sized works, and considered the expert in lost wax casting until he was surpassed by Auguste Rodin.
