18th Century French Baroque Marble Top Painted Console, Pedestal
About the Item
18th Century French Baroque marble top painted console ~ Pedestal is a study in wood sculpture that would be the envy of any talented craftsman! Graceful wine goblet shape is reminiscent of the sterns of the great sailing ships of yesteryear, with amazingly artistic foliates carved in bas relief on all three sides. The serpentine contours of the piece are mirrored by the beveled marble top. Perfect as a centerpiece with statue, in the corner, or anywhere a coffee-table height surface is needed. Ideal as a pedestal to display statuary as well!
