French 18th Century Carved Oak Wine Press

About the Item

This wonderfully aged 18th century grape press screw fragment. The shaft would have driven a large stone wheel downward, crushing and squeezing grapes, forcing out their juice as the stone rotates across them. This antique press could be incorporated into an architectural project or used as a pedestal.
