About the Item
Emerging during the late Victorian period in England, the Arts & Crafts movement was a reflection of the industrialized industry. A resurgence of design that focused on handcraftsmanship was sought to recover principles of decorative design thought to be lost by machinery. Arts & Crafts did not promote a particular style but was focused on quality of craftsmanship in lieu of industrialized labor. This copper planter is a Fine example of the ornate quality that designers of the time prided themselves in. Featuring botanicals and mythical beasts amid balanced design, this jardinière is in brilliant condition and comes with its original liner.
