French Faux Bois Garden Trough or Garden Planter, Vintage
About the Item
Vintage French Garden “Faux Bois”, or false wood, refers to the imitation of wood grain and texture. Faux bois originated in France and the artists who created the faux bois look, were called, rocailleurs. Old Plank has been importing garden faux bois items, for the past 25 years and the large troughs, or planters, are among the most difficult items to locate. We will be listing a pair of garden troughs or garden planters on 1stdibs, along with several other faux bois items shortly. One last note, this particular faux bois planter or trough, has survived the last 15 Chicago Winters.
