Small Neoclassical Bronze Grand Tour Gueridon-Form Plant Holder, circa 1900
About the Item
A small grand tour bronze plant holder form around 1900, in the form of an ancient Roman gueridon, in the best verdigris surface. The cast detail, including swags and jabots, caryatids, masks and anthemia, is iconic for the era, and it is of very good quality. The liner is copper. Aging to surface. Two original caryatids reattached. Copper liner pan is original, but resurfaced.
