Vintage Lost Wax Bronze Planter with Foo Dog Guardian Lions and Meander Motifs

About the Item

A heavy vintage lost wax cast planter from the mid 20th century, with bronze patina and Foo dog guardian lion motifs. We currently have two available (see last image), priced and sold $6,500 each. Created with the traditional technique of the lost-wax (à la cire Perdue) that allows a great precision in the details, this bronze planter features a circular tapering body adorned with meanders and geometric motifs. It is the handles however, that attract our attention, with their exquisite depiction of Foo dog guardian lions looking at each other. With its great décor and bronze patina, this lox wax bronze planter will bring an undeniable touch of elegance to any home.
