20th Century Italian Basket sterling silver pierced with blackberries and leaves.
About the Item
Basket with sterling silver handle made by casting techniques.
Using the casting technique, different sections of the basket body and handle are made and then assembled.
Once welded, the entire object is chiseled to make sure that the details of the blackberries and leaves are brought out.
Next, the basket is finished with a light burnishing.
The base, round and smooth slims the object and elevates it flat where the basket is placed.
A smooth crystal bowl was placed inside the basket to be able to hold sweets, candies, fruits etc.
Made in Milan-Italy in the late 20th century by silversmith Roberto Malagola for
