19th Century Kitchen Mortar and Pestle

About the Item

A fantastic 19th century American kitchen hardwood mortar with a turned softwood pestle. It’s likely that this mortar would have lived in a larger wood or marble holder, and removed when necessary. Two small holes on the bottom would have held the mortar in place. Measures: Mortar: 8.25 in. W x 8.25 in. D x 6.5 in. H Pestle: 10.5 in. L.
