About the Item
Canal is a vase from the Laguna Collection designed by
Ludovica+Roberto Palomba for Purho in spring 2022.
Like the canals of the Venetian lagoon, twisted, flexed, characterized
by sudden bends and curves, but also by the gentle ripples of the
water, so Canal — a vase that owes its core form to the basic
cylindrical shape — acquires personality thank to the undulating
and apparently imperfect glass surfaces.
Made of Murano glass in iridescent colours and sandblasted
finishes, Canal completes the other artefacts of the Laguna
Collection: a composite set of organic forms, apparently imperfect
cylinders, voluminous bowls, lavish bags which fold onto
themselves, in which fthe ormal flow is interrupted only by the
engraving on two of the vases. A departure for a collection that is
a tribute to Murano and the lagoon that surrounds it.

Purho Murano
PURHO — Italian soul with an international character Founded in 2012 by CEO Andrea Dotto aiming to turn into reality the potential of the marriage between Murano glass and contemporary design, Purho is now capable of marketing products stemming from solid research based on the observation of current tastes and new creative languages seen through the lens of the Murano glassmaking tradition. The result is a range of thematic collection of sleek products characterised by a clear-cut design with only a few decorations: what stands out is their curvy as well as markedly geometrical lines featuring colour in its purity as a main trait. Indeed, there are twenty-one special nuances that make up a dense energetic palette available for personalization and bespoke products.
