About the Item
A rare and stunning Art Deco Doulton Lambeth ceramic bowl decorated in cream, brown and grey crystalline glazes by Cuthbert Bailey and dating from around 1925. The wide rounded bowl stands on a narrow foot rim with a raised edge and folded back rim. The bowl is decorated in high fired crystalline glazes in brown and grey on a cream colored ground with metallic spotting to the inside bowl and around the outside edge. The bowl has an unglazed foot with impressed makers marks to the base along with incised 170 AM mark and numbers 333 and 5349.
Provenance: from the private collection of a Belgium based Gentleman.
