Meet marble bowl - Cristian Mohaded Dimensions: D 45 x H 16 cm Materials: white carrara marble top, Diorite base. It is a series of pieces made of different marbles, or in marble and metal, meeting and combining in two shapes with a very simple geometry, which vary in their proportions based on utility. Cristian Mohaded Industrial designer and Artist born in the Argentine countryside (Catamarca, 1980). He has graduated from the National Univerity of Córdoba, He shares part of the time between Buenos Aires and Milan. Nowadays, he is a prolific product, interior designer and art director, and known as benchmark in Argentina design. He is devoted to develop and design products for private clientes, national and international companies. Throughout his career as a designer he has also won several design awards and special mentions, also he participated in numerous national and international fairs and exhibitions. His works were show in Gallery S. Bensimon (Paris), DeisgnMiami (Miami), Valerie Goodman Gallery, 21st Gallery (New York), Galería Praxis (Buenos Aires), among others. His works were selected and incorporated into the permanent collection of the Philadelphia Museum of Art (USA) also into the Musée Les Arts Décoratifs in Paris. Also, they are already part of the Argentine design heritage of Fundación –I – D – A (Research in Argentine Design), being one of the young leaders in Latin American design.

Cristian Mohaded

Cristián Mohaded is an Argentine artist and designer born in the countryside (Catamarca, 1980). He is a graduate of the National University of Córdoba, and today he shares his time between Buenos Aires and Milan.

As a designer, he has always worked closely with artisans from his home country, exploring traditions, crafts, and local culture, blurring the line between design and art. Cristián also works internationally as an independent designer in the fields of furniture, lighting, products, and installation. From private commissions to industrial companies, he is dedicated to developing and designing objects with a strong focus on materiality, artisanal techniques, and production processes.

Throughout his career as a designer, he won several design awards and special mentions and has participated in numerous national and international fairs and exhibitions. His works were selected and incorporated into the permanent collection of the Philadelphia Museum of Art (USA), and at the Musée Les Arts Décoratifs in Paris. Likewise, he is already part of the Argentine design legacy of the IDA Foundation (Research in Argentine Design), being one of the young leaders of Latin American design. He was selected to represent his country with the Monte Abierto project for the design of the Argentine Pavilion at the London Design Biennial in 2021.

On 2021 he presented “Territorio Hibrido,” his first solo exhibition at the National Museum of Decorative Arts, and was named Ambassador of the Marca Pais of Argentina, for the recognition of cultural diversity, indigenous materials, and the productive capacities of the territory in his work as a designer, with the aim of promoting the formation of an understandable image of what is Argentine at an international level.

He was recently awarded by a prestigious national jury with the Konex-Diploma of Merit Award 2022 (Visual Arts), by the Konex Foundation.
