Royal Worcester Dish Painted by Kitty Blake
About the Item
This small footed dish is decorated with Kitty Blake's trademark hand painted blackberries, flowers and foliage, done in autumnal tones, and enhanced with gilding to the rim and foot. Kitty Blake worked at the Royal Worcester factory for 48 years, from 1905 until 1953. Prior to her time at Royal Worcester, she had at worked James Hadley's Worcester factory. This dish is 108 mm (4.25 inches) in diameter and stands 38 mm (1.5 inches) high. It is in very good condition and carries the date mark for 1931.
