Sublime Organically-Shaped Primitive 18th Century Scandavian Root Bowl

About the Item

Sublime organically-shaped primitive 18th Century Scandavian root bowl. Remarkable naturally bleached pale, dry finish. Beautiful subtle wood grain. Marked with the initials "LPS" of its maker or owner, and dated 1795 with inscribed runic characters. Note: Original/early finish on antique and vintage metal will include some, or all, of the following: patina, scaling, light rust, discoloration, and corrosion. Due to regional changes in humidity and climate during shipping, antique wood may shrink and/or split along its grain, veneer may loosen or peel, and painted finishes and gilt may flake and crack.
