Vintage Solid Brass Lotus Decorative Bowl - Virginia Metalcrafters
About the Item
A vintage solid brass lotus bowl. This piece has a smooth brass finish on the bottom and is marked with the date and "Lotus" and 3-24. It also has the letter "R" engraved, however, we cannot be sure if this was from the company or a previous owner. The sides of the bowl are turned up, making it an excellent piece to use as a trinket dish or for storing keys or jewelry. The inside is textured to look l like the leaves of a lotus flower.
This piece is made by Virginia Metalcrafters, who began in the early 1930s and got its start making stoves. However, once electric appliances became popular, the company reinvented itself by making popular decorative household items.
