3 Mailbox by Lluis Clotet & Oscar Tusquets
Dimensions: D 32 x W 24 x H 40 cm
Materials: Made up of steel sheets painted in a black polyester powder coating (RAL 9005). Doors in polished stainless steel with a transparent acrylic window and white labeling card.
Also available with 4 or 5 units.
Tusquets and Clotet designed the first letterboxes which were placed “in rowlock” that is vertically on one edge. This way they could offer more capacity than the traditional letterbox, visually occupying much lesser space. The letterbox 3-4-5 has been in BD’s catalog for over 30 years and has become a classic in Spanish design.
In 1972, a group of young architects and designers from Barcelona created BD with the aim of producing and marketing furniture and other objects for our projects, with complete creative freedom and with a criterion that has turned out to be quite different from the norm at companies in the sector, regarding both the shape and function.
