This is an antique desk tidy. An English, oak and silver plate decorative box, dating to the Edwardian period, circa 1910. Delightful contrast between the quality materials Displays a desirable aged patina and in good original order Select oak shows fine grain interest and warm caramel hues Quality silver plate presents a bright, reflective finish Polished rim continues into the square interior, lightly tarnished with age Unadorned shield mounts to the front and rear fascia Pair of prominent carry handles set on charming shield shape mounts Raised upon a set of oak leaf shaped feet at each corner This is a distinctive antique desk tidy, with a wonderful appearance and quality, tactile finish.
