Art Deco Macassar Wood and Crystal Cookie Box Candy Jar, 1930s
About the Item
This elegant Art Deco decorative cookie box or candy jar with a serving bowl insert was manufactured in France in the 1930s. The modernist design boasts a chromed metal and Macassar wood holder base with carved handles. The crystal cut insert bowl has large geometric etching and is topped with a tropical wood lid ornate with three beads in Macassar wood and chrome. There is no visible maker's mark.
Measurements: 9.63 in wide (24.5 cm) x 4.32 in deep (11 cm) x 5.13 in high (13 cm).
