Vintage Chippewa (also known as Ojibwe) birch bark lidded box with porcupine quill decoration and sweetgrass rims fastened with black thread - featuring a finely quilled red tulip with green stem and leaves to the top and further quilled decoration to the sides - unsigned - Canada (Ontario) - early 20th century.
Excellent vintage condition - minor scuffs and scratches - a few loose / broken threads - no loss - no damage - no restoration - signs of age and use.
Size/Dimensions - Small - 3" (7.6 cm.) Diameter x 2 1/4" (5.7 cm.) High.
